“ My experience went well. Evrytime i needed an answer to a question they were always there. ”
“ It was horrible to set up but thankfully after it was we didn't need to speak with anyone. The staff isn't the most friendly. The service continues uninterrupted and that is exactly what we needed. Enough talking to people having bad days. Georgia Natural Gas ® allows you to simply sign up and forget about it. ”
“ My experience with AGL has been neither outstanding nor subpar. When a company has little to no competition, their incentive to be better is not a factor, so I feel that they are about average. ”
“ I think they are fine for a natural gas company. Our bill can be expensive in the winter but that's to be expected. Natural gas isn't my first choice over electric but they are good in a pinch. ”
“ Gas South less expensive. ”
“ Two days after I signed up I received a promo offer from GNG. I asked (twice) if GNG would honor - NO RESPONSE. ”
“ I called to disconnect my service and somehow they are saying I never called and they do not have a record of me calling. My account was on auto pay so I got charged for 2 months that I did not live at that apt. I called to let them know and sent prove that I am no longer at that address and even a letter from that apt complex that I turned in my keys and still said there is nothing they can do, I will not get a refund and to expect my final bill. Very upset that I have paid for a vacant apartment and will still get a final bill for a vacant apartment. I know this apt is vacant because I called the apt complex to let them know what is going on and they said it has been vacant since I moved out and no one has moved in. If I have prove why can I still not get refunded?? Ridiculous! Never again will I sign up for their service or recommend to anyone!! ”
“
I have maintained my gas payment religiously without fail for over 4 years now. Never missed a payment. I lost my job during the pandemic and accumulated a high bill. As soon as the disconnect pause order was lifted I was told if I do not pay in 5 days my service will be disconnected. I paid them over $600 in the past-due bill and they refuse to work with me on a remaining balance of less than a $100. They disconnected my service for $66 after paying more than $630.
It's definitely time for a change of service. ”
“ Signed up for a promo rate and account was accepted. To date it has not been transferred (three months?). Is this a Georgia Natural Gas ® problem or an AGL issue? ”
“ This year I've called many times on different days, at different times, and the results have been the same. Other than 1 lucky time when I got connected to a customer agent and spoke to her half way, then the line was conveniently disconnected before she ”
“ Lately I am being charged a $10 late fee on payments made 5 days prior to billing due dates. Been on hold for 50mins trying to reach customer service to resolve this issue. Time to change gas service? ”
“ Call in and say I need an extra day to make full payment and then get disconnected so that they can charge an extra $60 to reconnect you. They are not like the other utility companies who have compassion and will work with one who is struggling to stay afloat. ”
“ Was not told about $60 fee! Bill for gas usage sooo much higher than my previous company ”

I was a customer of GNG for over a decade - always renewing my therm contract the month before expiration - the rate was alwqays .49 - .55 per therm range.
I called last fall and renewed as I always have - then noticed several months later that I was billed at $1.89 to $1.99 per therm.
When I called and (finally) got someone to taslk about it, they stated thet THEIR records didn't reflect my call or renewal, even though I have all the notes of the call.
GNG did not accept any accountability for their rep's mistake in not registering / binding my renewal.
Now they've billed me over $700 for 2 months of gas service at almost $2.00 per therm.
I suggest you go to Constellation or one of the other providers. GNG has apparently accepts nor requires accountability for their personnel. The onus is on YOU the customer to monitor and provide proof of what their people do.
BTW - I asked to speak to a Supervisor- held for over 20 minutes only to be told the same thing - no record of your call so nothing I can do for you. ”
“ Like others, we signed up with GNG when they had the best fixed rate for our needs. Now that our contract is up, we started researching new rates and found a lower rate with a competitor. Since we were already customers with GNG, I decided to call them and see if they could match or beat that rate. After going through their automated selections, I was immediately connected to their switchboard operator and she connected me to the "Appropriate Department". The first time I was on hold for over 2 hours. Thinking maybe I got lost in the system, I hung up and went through the same process again...this time for an hour and still no pickup. It's amazing that the switchboard picks up within seconds, but after that, nothing. I sent a message through their website about cancelling service and still don't know if its actually cancelled. ”

Currently owed a credit balance. Have been told three times that the check is in the mail. Have not received it. Doubt I ever will.
One address, one house, one gas meter .... three accounts (my former husband, the new homeowners, and me) all associated with the service at one address at the same time.
I requested discontinuation of service on 11/14/17 because House was sold and closing was scheduled for 11/15. Provided forwarding address for final bill. Received a HUGE bill and disconnect notice. I contacted GNG at which time GNG threatened to cut-off service if I did not pay the current amount due by phone even though I did not live there and had paid already. GNG had credited my former hisbsnds inactive acct. instead of my acct. They said they could not debit his acct and credit my acct for the payment; however, that is exactly what they did.
I have been told three times that they would refund my overpayment, but as of today I have received nothing but credit balance statements.
Gross incompetence in accounting practices and billing resolution. ”
“ On hold for long periods of time ”
“ I was billed an incorrect $60 charge last month, which took me a while to rectify, but received an email indicating that it was done. However, this month's bill contains that same charge, hidden on the second page. The first page reflects the credit however, the second page indicates that $60 was brought forward from last month and added to the current charges. No one has responded to my emails about it. And after holding on the phone for 40 minutes, a representative finally answered and hung up on me as I explained that the charge was an error. Georgia Natural Gas doesn't have poor customer service they're completely lacking in customer service. Although I only recently began service with this company, I'll pay whatever termination fee to sever all ties. If you're looking for a company with integrity, look elsewhere. ”
“ It was hard enough shopping for a six month plan, we as seniors could afford. When I found GNG, online, it was hard to get a decent rate for six months. Then we are being charged a high service charge. I called to see if it could be lowered. I was bluntly told that we're charged according to our credit. We have good credit. We're just on a fixed income. ”
“ Due to a move had to call GNG 2 times had to hold for an hour each time and then more time to resolve issue which did not get resolved. Calling back today and have had to hold 25 minutes so far. I call this terrible customer service. Sounds like they need to hire more employees. ”
